Whispers of Britannia turn Town Criers into a source of leads for rare events. A rumor guides exploration, but does not replace discovering the world or publish coordinates.

Buying a whisper

Speak with a Town Crier to open the conversation for buying a whisper. The price starts at 10,000 gold, rises after each purchase, and decreases after complete six-hour periods without use, never below the minimum.

Payment can use gold from your backpack and then your account bank. A stale quotation refreshes without charging; a completed purchase is charged even when the rumor provides no useful information.

What the rumor tells you

• A Phoenix younger than 10 minutes provides no information.
• Between 10 and 15 minutes, the rumor may succeed.
• At 15 minutes and older, the rumor succeeds.
• The result does not reveal location, cemetery, age, or number of Phoenixes.

Town Criers can also share rumors about Rare Events and the Rare Rideable Llama. The goal is to provide a lead, not to replace exploring the world.
