Scale examples
Some well-known creatures help players interpret the scale:
| Reference | Expected class |
|---|---|
| Zombie | Trivial |
| Drake | Common |
| Dragon | Dangerous |
| Greater Dragon | Deadly |
| Neira | Legendary |
| Harrower | Mythic |
How to interpret it
- Paragon appears as a separate variant, not as a class above Apocalyptic.
- The class represents general endurance, but does not by itself measure damage, magic, poison, self-healing, or enemy intelligence.
- Terrain, creature count, party composition, and strategy can greatly change the actual difficulty.
- Threat follows the scale of PvM rewards, but a class does not guarantee a specific amount or item.
- Creatures with magical AI contribute 45% of spawn maximum Hits to Threat, with a 45% combined ceiling for that group. Archer and other combinations retain the 35% combined ceiling.
- Pets, summons, vendors, and the PvP Trainer do not receive PvM Threat Rating.
