Slayer's Codex
On delivering the first Bloodmire Bounty, the character receives the Slayer's Codex: a blessed book bound to its owner (1 stone, double-click opens it). If it cannot be granted at that moment, a later Bounty grants it. Every defeated creature teaches its Slayer Group, and each tier bought with gold becomes a permanent point of damage dealt or taken against that group.
How it works
Each eligible kill adds the kill's final PvM Mastery XP award to that creature's group track, across the 7 groups (Undead, Humanoid, Reptilian, Abyss, Elemental, Arachnid, and Fey). Tier n needs 1,000 + 500 per n XP and costs 1,000 × (earned tiers + 1) gold in the backpack or bank, with no tier cap.
Each bought tier becomes 1 permanent point, sealed on the spot into Attack or Defense, your choice:
- Attack: +10% of your damage against the group on the first point, +0.5 per further point, no cap.
- Defense: +10% less damage from them on the first point, +0.25 per further point, up to 90%.
The book
Double-clicking opens the codex in Portuguese or English (with a language button): the index shows per group the sealed tier, the XP to the next one, the current percentages, and how many tiers are ready to seal; each group has its own pages to seal one tier at a time into Attack or Defense, with the effect and the price. Every hit changed by the Codex prints a light-green combat line, on by default and switchable off in the book itself.
Bindings in 1.2.0
Rare boss and season books are now bindings: with no text, they give their cover and color to a runebook, the Hunter's Compendium, or the Slayer's Codex. They drop at 5%, in 20 covers.
